Smith Engineering is seeking a Workforce Training Manager to work at our customer sites in the New York Metro area and in our Manhattan office.
Responsibilities
Program Development and Implementation
Design and implement workforce training programs tailored to the needs of the clean energy sector.
Identify training gaps and develop strategic plans to address these needs.
Ensure that training programs align with NYSERDA’s mission and state energy policies.
Partnerships and Collaboration
Establish and maintain partnerships with industry leaders, educational institutions, and community organizations.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive training initiatives.
Act as a liaison between NYSERDA and Smith Engineering.
Curriculum Development
Develop, review, and update training materials and curriculum to ensure they are current, relevant, and effective.
Integrate cutting-edge technologies and best practices into training modules.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
Project Management
Oversee multiple training projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
Monitor and report on the progress and impact of training programs.
Manage training-related contracts and agreements.
Assessment and Reporting
Develop metrics and evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on feedback and data analysis.
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer with 10+ years of relevant post education experience
Proficient knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues
Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
Demonstrable track record of project execution and leadership
